Toaster Sweater - December 3rd-17th
Class times:
Wednesday’s December 3rd-17th 11am-12:30pm
The Toaster sweater by Sew House Seven is the perfect cozy pullover for these cooler temperatures! This pattern consists of two different high neck top designs to keep you toasty warm and stylish in the cooler months. They are both simple to sew and perfect for sewists of all levels who want to try their hand at sewing knits. These sweaters are designed to be constructed using knit fabric with at least 20% stretch around the width of the body. I've been particularly enjoying this pattern by leaving off both the arm and waist bands in version 1. It is a perfectly comfortable cropped length to wear over skirts or high waisted pants.
This class is suitable for all levels. If you don’t have any sewing experience at all, please complete the Intro to Sewing class prior to the start of this class.
Recommended Fabrics:
Mid to heavyweight stretch fabrics with at least 20% horizontal stretch
Version #1: Stretch sweatshirt fleece, stretch French terry, knit boiled wool, ponte, scuba
Version #2: Stretch sweatshirt fleece, stretch French terry, wool jersey, thick cotton interlock or jersey knit, stretch woven wool, ponte
There are several fabric options available for purchase in the studio.
Notions:
Coordinating thread
Studio sewing machines are provided.
Purchase of the pattern is included in the cost of the class
Fabric should be washed prior to the first day of class.
